We have had a fantastic summer in the US and France!

First we returned for the third time to Bloomington, Indiana to perform in the Summer Festival of the Arts and teach chamber music to the immensely talented child who come from around the world to participate in the prestigious Summer String Academy.

We played works of Mozart, Brahms, Debussy, Beethoven and Webern (among others), and three of us performed the Piano Quartet in C minor of Brahms with the wonderful pianist Cory Smythe. Click here to read reviews of these concerts.

Below are some photos of our visit to Bloomington:

Then we crossed back over the Atlantic to France to appear at three different festivals. First we went to the Festival du Larzac, where Roeland and Sarah had already played in previous summers, but this was the first time that the whole quartet was invited.

Below are a few pictures, from the 'bergerie' which we claimed as our rehearsal space, and the charming village of Sainte-Eulalie-de-Cernon which, in addition to having a lovely church for chamber music concerts, enjoys a lot of sheep traffic!

Then we continued on to Suzette, in 'la Drôme', very nearby Mont Ventoux and in the middle of countless vineyards.

We ended our summer of touring in Taulignan, in Drôme-Provencale, where we have been already many times to play concerts in the beautiful Temple. A lovely end to a summer filled with inspiriation, friends, beauty, and of course, lots of music!
